An ozone generator is a device that produces ozone to clean the air or disinfect water. Ozone is a highly reactive molecule that can break down airborne contaminants, like mold and bacteria.

• An ozone generator applies an electrical charge to oxygen molecules, causing them to split apart and recombine into ozone

Safety Ozone is highly reactive and can be harmful to health. Ozone generators produce "bad ozone" that can be harmful to humans, while the "good ozone" in the stratosphere protects us from the sun's harmful UV radiation
